ORGANIZATION
The Lower Passaic & Saddle River Alliance is made up of over 30 local community
groups, businesses, state and federal agencies, and local citizens working to
improve and protect the natural resources of the Lower Passaic River watershed.
Our geographic focus is the Passaic River and its tributaries from Two Bridges
in Wayne to Newark Bay. The Alliance is working to preserve, protect and restore
the Lower Passaic River by improving public access to the River, monitoring
tributary streams for sources of pollution and working with partner
organizations to reconnect River communities to the River and to change their
often negative perceptions of this valuable public resource.
